As we start to approach March, we know that longer days are coming. Now the days are noticeably getting longer and although we may still need to wrap up warm in aran sweaters like this www.shamrockgift.com/aran-sweaters it is soon going to be summer and the weather is improving! Therefore, this is a great time to get back out and about and enjoy all of the new growth that is happening in nature.
We are fortunate in the UK to have many beautiful places to walk – here are some spring walks that you will be able to enjoy at this time of the year…
If you want to follow in the path of William Wordsworth, then head for the Lake District and you too can wander amongst the host of golden daffodils described by Wordsworth in the famous poem. Ullswater is the place to see them, and there are lots of beautiful walking trails that you can enjoy in the area.
Head to Hampshire and St Catherine’s hill where much of the countryside becomes a riot of spring blooms, from bee orchids to cowslips during the springtime. From here it is a nice stroll into the beautiful town of Winchester.
If you want to see through the eyes of painter John Constable, go to Suffolk to the River Stour where the house featuring in the Hay Wain can still be found, and at this time of the year you can see it in all of its springtime glory!
