Soursop tea is excellent to help in the treatment of diabetes and hypertension, but it can also help reduce insomnia, as it has sedative and calming properties.

What is it for

Soursop has therapeutic properties, which can be used to help in the treatment of some diseases such as:

Fight diabetes,  because it has fibers that prevent the rapid rise in blood sugar.

Relieve pain from rheumatism,  as it has antirheumatic properties, which help reduce inflammation and pain.

It helps treat stomach diseases, such as ulcers and gastritis because it has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce pain.

Reduce insomnia,  as it has sedative properties that help you fall asleep.

Lowering blood pressure,  as it is a diuretic fruit, helps regulate high pressure.

In addition, due to its antioxidant properties, soursop improves the appearance of the skin and hair and strengthens the immune system.

How to prepare soursop tea

Soursop tea is easy and quick to prepare, being able to consume 2 to 3 cups of soursop per day, preferably after meals.

Ingredients:

  • 10 g of dried soursop leaves;
  • 1 liter of boiling water.

Preparation method:

To prepare the tea, just place the soursop leaves in boiling water and leave them for about 10 minutes. Then strain and consume when warm after meals.

Side effects and contraindications

Although soursop has several benefits, the consumption of the tea should be guided by the physiotherapist or nutritionist, since the consumption of excessive amounts of the tea can cause nausea, vomiting, a sudden decrease in pressure, and intestinal changes, due to its properties antimicrobial, it is capable of eliminating good bacteria from the body when consumed in excess.

In addition, the consumption of soursop is contraindicated in pregnant women, because it can lead to SEE premature labor or abortion.
